Air Canada VP of financial planning and analysis Amos Kazzaz stated (03-Sep-2014) the carrier plans to increase ancillary revenues through various passenger-related fees, such as baggage, paid upgrades and seat selection. The carrier also plans to launch a new new revenue management system (RMS), which is expected to report incremental annual revenues in excess of CAD100 million (USD91.89 million) beginning in 2015. The carrier outsourced its London operations to a third-party provider on 01-May-2014, which is estimated to result in net savings of CAD10 million (USD9.19 milloin) on a run rate basis. [more - original PR]
