This was my first stay in a Club Med and I think I choosed the best.

I have been a lot to Riviera Maya in the last 4 years and that was my first stay in Cancun. I was traveling with my 13 years old son, we arrived on august the 19th for a week. We were told the village was full at 95%. We had a room in the Opalo building, lagon view, close to the snorkling beach. A very nice room, large enough for my son and I, two levels, decorated with taste, lots of space for storage, a free electronic safe (large enough for a 15" laptop), with separated toilet and bathroom (with hand shower AND rain shower, no tub though), 27" hd tv with movie channel, large balconny, really, I was impressed that this was the standard room.

Before I go on, I must say that I think these were our best vacations ever, for my son and I. I traveled with him and is older brother (18) a lot before and we both agree that Club Med Cancun is now, in our book, the best in the west. :)

That being said, what else can be said?

Well, first and foremost, the people makes Club Med Cancun a place that stands apart, and I'm talking as well about the GOs as the clients (nammed GMs, for Gentils Membres), this place is loaded with happiness AND class, and I'm not saying this because I was there (laugh). For the time we were there, my son and I felt like part of a big family, the feeling growing with the time passing by.

The week we were there, it was the summer vacations and, accordingly, Club Med Cancun was mostly occupied by families with children (5-18 years old, mostly, I would say), teenagers being in large number, my son did have a blast. The first day, we were getting used to the place but by the second day he went to Car Wash (the teen space in Club Med Cancun) and met a lot friends and did several activities, he really liked it. From there on, I wouldn't see much of him, day time speaking, for the rest of our stay. Still, he was enjoying himself and to me, that's what it's all about. We did have time together for suppers and evenings, well, most of them...

I say most of them because my son was having such a blast that he would have stay all day and all of the night (for a good time, like the Kinks would sing), with his new friends, friends from all over the places, France, USA, UK, Australia, Canada...

Speaking of suppers, that brings me to food, one of the highlight of our stay. The food is simply wounderfull, marvelous. The best food of all the resorts I did. The big main buffet is so good that I didn't feel the need to go to the À-la-cartes restaurants all week. The Italian and the Gala nights are not to be missed. The chef, a very nice French gentleman, often comes out of the kitchen and makes sure eveything is top notch and he's very nice to the GMs.

The beach is beautifull, I had my spot on the far right end of it, with first row seats for watching the pelicans fishing. There is also a beach for snorkling and another one for sailing and kayaking.

Now, let's get back to what makes Club Med Cancun the best in the west, its people. First, the one person without whom this place wouldn't be what it is, le Chef de village, Remy, niceness and class incarnated, a real gentleman. Always there, all the time, for every thing, it seems like he never rests or sleeps. I've never seen a resort where the director is there every night to greet its guests for supper, amazing! Remy, you rock!

Not only Remy rocks, his team of GOs do rock big time too. Amongst them, I must mention, and, in advance, I beg your pardon to those I would forget, Pablo, from the water-ski team, you're a real class act, very human. Michele, from the restaurant, the nicest girl I met during my stay.

I also want to mention, from the water-ski team, Ossvi, thank you for your patience, Shara, you're very nice and, I must say, look marvelous, Philippe (du Nord-pas de Calais), t'es super cool. From the front desk, Nicolette and Louba, with whom I had the privilege to deal with, are first class, Ladies with a capital L.

The guys at the kayak/sailng, you were great, Andres, you're super!

Mau and Delia, from the Car Wash, Philippe loves you and thinks the best of you, his father tells you: Thousand thanks, you guys are very very good, you rock!

Now for the clients, I won't say any names but while I was there I met wounderfull people. From all the resorts I was at, Club Med Cancun is the one where I met the most interesting and nice-to-be-with people.

As you can tell by reading me, I really enjoyed my vacations at Club Med Cancun. So much that I think I won't be able to go any where else in the South, from now on. So much that I'm going back, for a week, in a couple of weeks. This time, I'll have a beachfront room, yes sir!

Wow !

On comprend pourquoi tu y retournes.

Tu as été ensorcelé :))))))))))

Bonne journée à toi!

Bonjour Imoi,

Tu peux me répondre sur hotmail à marie-2019.
